Volunteer of the Month/Year

Each chapter may name one CPF member per month from its jurisdiction as Volunteer of the Month. These names are published in the following edition of the CPF Alberta News. The nomination is to include a very brief description of the reason for the nomination.

Then at the annual conference the names of all the Volunteers of the Month nominated during the pervious year are placed in a draw. One name is drawn to be Volunteer of the Year.  The prize for the Volunteer of the Year is $100 "CPF bucks," which may be redeemed for any CPF goods or services offered by any level of the organization through Canada.

Nominees can but need not be leaders!  Valued volunteers contribute ideas, are dependable, take on short-term projects ..... in short, they make a real difference.

From time to time the branch Board of Directors may also name an individual as Volunteer of the Month in order to recognize his/her services to CPF Alberta.

CPF national Volunteer of the Year Award

This new award, initiated in 2008, will be presented every second year to one volunteer who has given exemplary service to Canadian Parents for French and has played a tremendous role in supporting the goals and vision of our organization.

Each winner will receive a medal, a return trip to the CPF annual conference, and more.

To nominate an individual, you are asked to "paint a picture" of your nominee's achievements in such a way that the selection committee can fully understand why you believe your nominee should receive this great honour. Your illustration of the outstanding achievements of the nominee should be compelling.

Watch for a nomination package in the spring.  Deadline is the end of June.
