CPF Alberta established this award to recognize an individual or an association who/which has contributed significantly to French-second-language learning (core French and/or immersion) in Alberta.

The recipient(s) of the award is announced at the time of the branch Annual General Meeting and in the CPF Alberta News. In addition to the award, each "Special Friend of CPF & FSL" is acknowledged on a plaque displayed in the branch office and at suitable occasions.

While a nominee may be a member of CPF, this award is not limited to our members.  The award is given, at the discretion of the branch Board of Directors, only if there is a suitable candidate in any year.  Members of the current CPF Alberta Board of Directors and staff members are not eligible to be nominated.

A nomination may be submitted by any CPF member or by any chapter. It must include the name and address of the nominee, reasons for the nomination, and any relevant supporting documentation.
